Birthing From Within CHILDBIRTH CLASSES with Pam England, author and founder of Birthing From Within
My classes are extraordinary, and intended for parents who are seeking practical preparation and personal growth in order to fully participate in birth as a rite of passage. There are many ways to give birth, and since normal is just one, and because no one knows in advance how labor will unfold, these truly holistic classes are not limited to natural birth, but are designed to prepare you for many ways of laboring.
Come with your Heart's Question. . . What is it you need to know to give birth, as a mother? or as a father?
Recently I was interviewed for an article. The author began by asking me to talk about my “natural birth classes.” I explained, much to her surprise, “I don’t teach natural birth classes. I teach birth classes, and I give as much respectful attention to preparing women and men to labor in-awareness whether their labor is normal or an induction or by cesarean, whether they cope with pain in a warm bath or with an epidural. I make a real effort not to teach outcome-focused classes because parents, no matter how well-informed or committed, cannot control how their birth unfolds.
Your class will be small (no more than five couples) to allow for personal attention.
If you prefer, you may sign up for private childbirth classes (cost is adjusted for these).
